Children are not pets...

Therefore leashes are not okay. Even if the leash is disguised as an adorable teddy bear backpack.

What made this worse was that every single time the little boy moved an inch his grandmother would yank the leash...hard.

Love is a battlefield and I am a sniper

I'm pretty sure I'm a cupid. I read on Wikipedia that Cupid is usually depicted having two sets of arrows, gold-tipped and lead-tipped. The gold arrows inspire love whereas the lead arrows inspire hatred. I shoot guys with a gold arrow, but the love moves slow. It's kind of like a slow-release formula. The potion opens their eyes as to what they want in a woman and shows them that they can get exactly what they deserve. I then shoot them with the lead arrow which has a much quicker effect and they soon begin to hate me. The relationship ends and they immediately find a woman they just absolutely can't get enough of. I'm happy to be the catalyst for such bliss...

even if it means I'm left alone.

Shut your mouth cause no one cares.

I was talking to my best friend and stated that I talk a ton and 78% of what I say is meaningless. I told him I did the math and he said he wanted to see the pie chart. I told him I didn't have one so he made one for me. It's very accurate.

It's raining like magic

It's raining outside and I couldn't be happier. The rain slows down my racing brain. It has been so hot lately which makes it even better. The smell of the hot water on the asphalt leaves me with only happy thoughts and amazing dreams for the future. sigh

Twitterpation??

I...am a hopeless romantic. Being in love is one of the greatest things a person can feel. I think a person can love billions of people at a time, but what you can't do is be in love with more than one person at a time. I think that is complete and utter bullshit. I don't judge people who choose to cheat. I've been on both sides of that before and I understand them both, but for a person to say they are in love with their significant other and the person they're cheating with...nonsense. You may love them both for different reasons or maybe even them for the same reasons, but being in love is different. You couldn't possibly hurt the person you're in love with that way.

But what do I know?

I was ready for a fight.

I had an issue with my local GameStop. The first time I went there the all male staff barely acknowledged my existence in the store. They didn't greet me or try to engage me in any form of general salesman banter. In fact they spent the entire time talking to the other customers in the store. All of the other customers were men. I left the store feeling a little insulted. I'm not what some would call a "serious gamer", but I'm a gamer none the less. I felt like because I was female they were less than accommodating.

On my second trip the store was empty. Just me and the cashier. He greeted me and asked if he could help me with anything. I let him know I was okay, picked up some accessories for my DSi and took them right to the counter. As he was ringing up my things he asked, "Would you like to pre-order Harry Potter?" I noticed a sign on the counter urging me to pre-order the new Assassin's Creed and I said, "Why would you think I'd want Harry Potter? Why didn't you ask me about Assassin's Creed?" He stood for a second looking sort of stunned and replied that he didn't know and proceeded to try and get me to pre-order that instead. I politely declined and left the store. When I told my best friend about the encounter he said what I was thinking the entire time, "It's probably because you're a girl."

After all of that I was rather delighted on Friday when I decided to head back to the store and buy Metroid: Other M. I was kind of excited to see what dick head move I was going to encounter. I walked into the empty store and was greeted by the two men behind the counter. I headed straight for Metroid and as I reached my hand out to grab it the older of the two said "We have it right here." I thanked him and walked to the counter. Both men were really nice. The older one gave me the art folio that was reserved for people who pre-ordered and the younger one talked with me about what we heard about the game. They were both very cool and chatty.

I had left my house that night just aching for some sexual discrimination and I got the opposite. I guess you can say I was pleasantly disappointed.
